Meet the Board of Directors

Pam Cowen

Pam has had two major forces in her life for as long as she can rememberThe first is her love and respect for education, and the second is her passion for giving to those less fortunate.

She has implemented these ideals into her daily life as an educator, a civic leader in The Special Olympics organization and as a volunteer for numerous local organizations. With a hands-on approach and a huge heart, Pam works tirelessly to improve the lives of others.

As an extension of her charity work, in 2014, Pam ventured to Uganda for the first time.

She traveled the country exploring a variety of missions and felt instantly connected to the Ugandan peopleAfter meeting Esther at Little Angels, a few years later, Pam knew her heart had found a home Since then, she has returned 5 times collaborating with Little Angels leaders and partnering with local artisans to sell goods in the U.S. to help fund the cause

Brandy Veatch

Brandy’s love for missions started through watching various family members serve in Turkey and the Philippines.
In 2010, she traveled to Haiti to assist after the massive earthquake.  At that time God placed in her heart the commitment and passion to serve those in less fortunate situations.  Since then, she has dedicated herself and time to various organizations and trips to Haiti, Uganda and the Philippines.
She first fell in love with Uganda in 2014.  This trip introduced her to friends in Jinja.  These friendships have remained over the years and lead her to Little Angels.  She currently sits on the board and is a huge advocate into the success of the school.

Julie Moore

After a mission trip to Kenya in 2010, Julie’s fire for missions was rekindled. She had gone on a six week medical mission trip to Jinja Uganda in 1980, and going to Kenya helped her to realize what her true calling was. The Lord was leading her towards mission work and helping the less fortunate.

In 2014 she became involved with a nonprofit organization based in Jinja, Uganda and went on a trip to serve the village people there. After what she experienced, and seeing the need there, she got involved with the organization and was an active advocate for five years taking annual trips to Jinja.

In 2022, she made the decision to help keep a school open in the Nukadi village in the Namayingo District, and is now an active board member of Little Angels Nursery and Primary School. Julie is also an active fundraiser for Big Goal Foundation Uganda, which is a school and home for orphans.  Currently, she is involved with Council on Aging serving the homebound elderly, and has also served the homeless with Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry and WNC Rescue Missions in Asheville, NC.
